how to take /input a customer deposit into stratus

A non-refundable $25 deposit must be collected in order to book an appointment at our studio.
NOT APPLICABLE TO: Senior Portraits, Birthday Club, Sports, Passport
** Hold on to the receipt from the Squarespace transaction at the register. You will need to staple it to the Stratus Deposit Receipt. **

1) After inputting the appointment in Stratus and collecting the payment for the $25 deposit, open the Client Window in Stratus. You can access the Client Window from the Session Window by clicking on the “View Client” tab at the top (1)

2) Click on the Customer Deposit tab located in the upper right corner of the Client Window on Stratus. This will open up a New Customer Deposit window.

3) Input the $25 in the text box next to the Deposit Amount (1) box, then choose the Deposit Method (2) from the drop down menu.

4) Below, you will see that the Visa (1) Deposit Method is selected, because the customer paid for their deposit using a Visa Card.

After inputting the Deposit Amount and Deposit Method, click the Save (2) button in the upper left corner of the New Customer Deposit Window. This will save the deposit to their Client file on Stratus.

5) After saving the payment to Stratus, you will need to PRINT the Customer Deposit Receipt. Click on the PRINT (1) button at the top of the Customer Deposit Window. Select “Receipt" (2) in the drop down tab. This will send your receipt to the printer.

STAPLE Squarespace receipt to Stratus receipt, and place in the Daily Signed Invoices bin under the register.

6) You can double check to see if there is a customer deposit on a client’s Stratus account by clicking on the Summary (1) tab in the Client Window and you will also notice a yellow dot. If you saved the deposit correctly, it will show up in the lower right hand box - as shown below (2)
